Ok so i was on mpp solar web page and it looks like now there is a few to pick from .
I want to run 48v batteries would like to be able to have all my plug sockets off grid but when the batteries get lowi would like my house
3.5 kw grid tie system to help charge the batteries as well as the solar on the pip . Is this possible and which one would be best?
I am very new to this so please help many thanks Garry.

My pip 4048 GE arrived a few days ago.
Email Peggy from the company and explain what your looking for. . She is really good at returning emails and recommending a unit for your application. I ordered and paid on a Friday the unit arrived on Tuesday in Australia. It was so fast and well packaged. Highly recommended.
Mine isn't set up yet. I'm sure there's others on here that have a working unit that will reccomend one for you.

Good luck

I wish that MPP support was that good. They only reply to emails until you paid the inverter and the more complicated questions seem to have been left out or directed to spam :)

Neither less the normal off grid system can do what you want. But it have no clue of if you have excess power from your grid-tie system. If you want that function you need to do some programming but it could be doable if you control the system yourself.

This series i think could be a nice serie that they released: http://www.mppsolar.com/v3/pip-hsms-pf1-series/
