Used to install mod chips on the ps2 and xbox game consoles when I was in high school. Wasn't really a job, but made a little bit for money and I had to pay rent at an early age.

Started off in the real work force as an IT tech fixing laptops, desktops, software issues (config/user issues), printers, basic networking, tablets, etc)

After 4 years I switched to a DBA (database administrator) for the higher pay, but the company was going belly up and I got out of there about 6 months before they were sold and my whole department was let go. Worked with Mysql, MSSQL, lots of open source programs, a load balanced terminal server farm (5 VMs running off a SAN Storage server), and a LOT of php programming and 10 years of programs in the past that needed fixing (sql injections were EVERYWHERE).

For the last couple of years I have been making wire harnesses for atvs and some other misc harness parts sourced from around the world (mainly china, japan, and usa).

Looking to get into hardware controllers and learning more about board level electronics and maybe see about building my own CDI's for atvs or even specialize in programming for Arduino and raspberry pi's since I've worked with vb.net, php, c#, and a little c++ and java script and a ton of other little project langs like autoit. Seems like it would be a useful thing to know, and if I can pull off a "DIY" BMS that'd be nice. Personally I wouldn't want it "managing" the batteries all the time but more of a monitor/data logger with the ability to balance the packs in extreme cases such as 1-2 packs are overly low/high compared to the others.

I'm a dental technician, working in the cadcam department.

We have DMG milling machines and 3Dsystems printers to play with... along with the CAD software needed to make all kinds of teeth.

Hobbies are Sailing and Electronics.
I'm in the process of building 14 packs of 80 cells for my future Powerwall.
In the meantime, I make some videos about the build and the devices I use.
