Testing Your 18650 Fuse Wire (AveRage Joe)

The only thing i can add there is it doesnt really matter what voltage he is testing the fuses under, as they are purely a current based device. so in that respect it doesnt matter if he tests them at 2V or 200, what it does do for him however is increase the spacing on his heating coil, so its easier for him to move in a controlled increment,

What he can do to find 2A fusing wire is to drop the diameter of the wire, either by buying it directly, or getting speaker wire with a higher strand count, most decent suppliers will be able to tell you the diameter of the wire, the strand count, and the size of the strands,

On ebay i have seen everything from the wires being sized off the external insulation, e.g. "1mm copper mains wire" was 0.7mm conductor and 0.3 of insulation, which is wrong...
 
I'm sending him samples of my fuse wire too see how it holds up to my testing.. should be a good test i think..

You're way too fast. LOL. Wait until I confirm the fuse length. I'll be off work in 2 hours :p
