I've heard of people spot welding nickel tabs then soldering the fuses to the tabs. Welding the fuses alone doesn't sound possible to me? The wires are tiny.
I spot weld my fuse wires. But it is actually spot soldering because the copper wire I use is tinned. Keep your amps low! enough to get it to stick. I use both electrods on the wire. Its a little trial and error but worth the effort when you see the end results.

Yeah i have spot welded since start too. Ie its over a year now since i started. Owned the spot welder for over 2 years or so.
I keept it a bit hidden since I didnt see the public 100% mature to get the info yet I have destroyed many cells and wires before i got it to work reliable so that im happy with it.
