South Carolina Powerwall

Hello gang, quick update on the SC powerwall : Inverter/Chargers were purchased as of this morning ! Four PIP2424LV-MSD are on their way. It's a bummer for US/CA this is the maximum offer MPPSOLAR has and that it will "only" be a 24V system. Inagine a 10kW load would be pulling over 400A, definetly an issue if all this current had to go through one set of wires ! However since this is "distributed" over 4 inverters, the max will be 100A per inverter. I am now wondering best way to have 220V from these 4 modules and if attaching 2 in parallel per split-phase would work. If not, I will just have all 4 in parallel onto one split.

Quick update : all inverters arrived from Taiwan yesterday and I picked then up from local PAK Mail facility (DHL affiliate). I'm impressed with how quick S&H was. Opening boxes today. Looking for experienced in solar electrician in SC, if you know someone, please share.

All 4 PIPs are mounted on the wall. I connected one of them to try out. No PVs are hooked up yet, just AC mains and a couple of 12V car batteries I have laying around for testing purposes.
Looking to parallel them in groups of 2, each group on its own 110V line.
Does anyone knows of a device that can mimic the split phase? If I can bound them I'll be able to run 220V loads too...[Image: d3f1d314a5303cdbd49029d7cf81f0c6.jpg][Image: 85de67420b032fd30032702774bf19e4.jpg][Image: 3ca589bad6ba2c33fd009c02f27c8c3a.jpg][Image: 52cb6e048f353a8bada455df642c1357.jpg]

2017-08-10 Update: 12 x 315W Canadian solar have been ground mounted. Each string of 6 (3S2P) feeds one PIP. On the near future 2 more strings will e added and fed to PIP #3 and #4.
These PIPs are in parallel and charging/inverting from the first 7S100P set of modules (for a total of 6.4kW) I have today finished building ! I should have enough batteries for 2 more 7S100P modules.

It's been so far a great journey, with lot of good friendships along the way, lot of knew knowledge (to me).

Thank you Daniel, Peter, Terry for your help and support.so far.

What's the reasoning behind sticking with MPP? Seems like a bunch of extra work for a 24v system that can't run 230VAC without transformers. Seems like a US-spec 48v inverter would be much easier.

Generally the MPP are cheap and you get alot of stuff like switching between grid and solar. Battery charger. monitoring and all

+ the challenge to making it all work. If I have to explain, you won't get it... btw, transformer not needed as long as grid power is present.
