Well I hope they are reliable because I just bought the 48v 3000w version to try.

Well for $400 I figured its worth trying. I have seen some positive reviews on these

Does anyone have one one, how is it working for you?

I've used a 500w version. Seems to work pretty well and is a good value buy, imo, withgood customer service.

Also, the short-circuit protection works. I blew both fuses connecting to a bus bar incorrectly. (I'm really not that good at this stuff, lol)Replaced them and still works great.

I'd recommend. Others that know more than I recommend them as well.

Thanks for replies so far.

Im not expecting the world for $400.
Just not ready to spend $2000+ on a quality inverter yet.
I'll probably only need 1000-2000 watts max so we'll see how it goes.

I did watch a youtube vid where someone upgraded the cables to the board.

What video did you watch?

I still have it running, if there's anything you would like me to test/check to be more helpful? I mean, all in all it's been very reliable. I've pushed it up to 1500w sustained (what it's rated for) without any issues. It's just the 127v, tiny wires, and non-UL Chinese that bothers me. It starts my 7A shopvac fine but won't start my regular 12A floor vacuum. I blew the fuses when I tried that.

Thanks for the offer Mike!

Korishan: Here is the vid I mentioned.

I got cold feet on it and cancelled the order, luckily I got in before they shipped it. I would still try this one but need to decide if I'm gonna go cheap, or buy once cry once, so to speak.

I'm really struggling to settle on an inverter! Initially I ordered the Epever which arrived damaged.

Just not sure whether to lay down around $2000 on a better and potentially saferunit or try the Chinese offerings out there.

This is one of the inverters I would like to get, there are a couple of others around or more than this price.

for 2000USD you get a very very good inverter and dont have to guess!
1800w for 2000AUD sounds expensive if you ask me. i would say you should get an 8Kw unit atleast for that price.

I cant recommend anything more than the MPP and i have tested some others but they are all EU versions

Agreed, I think $2000 is too much also, even though these inverters are built to last. I've heard of them going strong after 15 years or more.

We'll see...one popped up on ebay yesterday BNIB for $1200 so I grabbed it :)
