Pretty sure you can send Amazon gift cards electronically, as I know of one site that delivers them that way.
That said Paypal is better for those that need to buy materials locally, especially 18650's.
Let the winner decide which they want ?

This I should bold face insert myself as an example of what not to do ?

" ... the safest thing is to NOT do what he's doing ...!"

kind regards

how is what you're doing 'wrong' if you/we are learning?

Here is my entry into the Powerwall Safety Competition.

Please enjoy my video on Safety Equipment that can be utilised to make your installations safer.

Ok, entries are closed for this comp, when I get to a computer I'll set up the voting pole and we can pick a winner. One vote per person allowed - measures have been taken 3 weeks ago to account for cheating :)

Ignore me I'm an idiot ! 17th!

I only see 1 post in this thread for the competition. Lol

Entries in this forum are fine, as well as this thread.. pete

Fireman, sorry but there is a lot of bad info in your video.

Never put water on a Lithium fire. 2 reasons:
1. Lithium + water is explosive
2. Water + hydrogen fluoride = hydrofluoric acid (skin melted. Attacks the corneas first)

co2 is useless on a Lithium ion fire. One of the gases vented is oxygen. Thermal contagion takes much more time than a small cylinder can last.

Never throw batteries in a bucket of water. Same as above

Use a carbon monoxide detector. One of the gases vented is carbon monoxide. This will trigger before ionization and long before thermal
