In need of ideas

So I have a 48u server rack. 10x 1u Shelves, Batteries take 2u and my idea is to add 10x 1u fan trays.

In effort to keep things tidy and allow for periodic maintenance on the battery packs I am trying to think of a good way to wire these packs in parallel. I.e. be able to isolate on each shelve and if needed add a fuse on each shelve as each cell will be double fused like I have watched you guys do?

I guess I'm not doing a powerwall but a power cabhahaha

Does anyone have a good suggestion on the best way to do this? I was trying to think up some way of every battery pack having equal length of cable to an isolating switch but stuck in my design if I should have a fuse before or after the isolating switch? then how to join all the isolating switches to combine the power. Should I simply daisy chain one side of the isolating switches to combine the parallel circuit?

You could build a shelf that for each pack, put a blade/slot connection for each Pos/Neg. On the packs have the Blade connector, the shelf have the Slot end. Then you could pull the whole pack off the shelf and immediately disconnect the pack.
(tryin to find what these things are called or even a picture of one. I know they are made. The closest thing I can thing of for description is the Blade/Slot of a breaker panel. The panel has the blade, and the breaker has the slot that slides over the blade to make a solid connection. Another would be the dryer/oven connectors with those large blades and large slot receivers in the socket)
Put the connectors horizontal and when you push the pack in, in makes solid contact with both connectors. Then you could have a manual contactor on the back if you wanted to turn them off/on before disconnecting the packs.
Then you could have each shelf be in parallel, and then serialize each shelf with the next if you wanted to build them that way.

Kind of what I had in mind when I build my packs to make them easy to pull out of the rack to work on them.

Dude love that idea and completely forgot about the hot swap style connectors I could utilise!!

What would you suggest in ways of linking them together? Cable??

Or a Anderson plug/shelve, like Average Joe used... theyare availbleup to 175A.

XT90 with spark prevention is what I would use. Good for 50-90A depending on use.
This works good for interconnectin packs and such. For larger then its another thing

But frankly how often are you going to pick them down? I havent touched mine since built and no problem yet.

Well, if the packs on the same shelf on connected together, I'd use a hard bus bar to connect them (probably like a copper grounding rod and then coat it in quick dry enamel). But from shelf to shelf, obviously wires, probably use welding wire as it has lots of fine wires to make it super flexible. The use cable arms to hold the wires so if you pull a shelf out, the whole thing cleaning moves forward without getting hung on anything.
