hi all, been watchin the hbpowerwall channel for a while and have recently started playing around with my own setup..... I got an old broken glass 24v 260w panel and slopped on some varathane, then I attached it to 3 packs of 24 18650's through a tracer 3210A then put a 900w boost converter on the load and attached that to a 1000w chinese grid tie...... wonder of wonders it works.... kinda..... the grid tie makes the voltage bounce whenever I turn it on I"ve got my boost converter set to 20v 5A max thinking this would mimic a 12v panel...... yup alot of hoops just because my panel is 24v out and my grid tie is 12v in ...... so my question to pete and the rest of you smart people is ..... is that just a function of cheap chinese mppt microinverters do they constantly bounce up and down or is there a setting on my boost converter that will make it settle at a hundred watts or so? damn this stuff is frustrating and addictive all at once :)

PS... yes I know I should put the boost converter and grid tie directly on the battery instead of the load output of the charge controller but for now I want the power graphing features of the software till I figure this out :)

GTI's suck, ROI doesn't exist. That said, if you learn something new I guess that comes into the equation also. Can't help with the math but watch out for the magic white smoke.

I agree, or would normally but this one was gifted to me so the 2Kw its already put back into my house puts it at 30 cents to the good... we pay 15cents/Kwh but I see your point thanks :)

Gifted workes!!! well
