... holds a secret. Can you guess which one?
I used to gut laptop batteries, oh, 10+ years ago and build solar lanterns, which were given to folks headed where there's lots of sun but no power, in hopes of eliminating reliance on fuels. Solar cells were pretty expensive, but laptop batteries were decent.
Now, I just do it for fun and collection.
Anyways, latest batch of laptop batteries have been giving me trouble. Tons of dead cells, tons of 'hot' cells when charged. This one came out of the pack 'warm', so I must have shorted it somewhere temporarily. Still good, but check it out- nice and glowy.
Anyways, I'm a bit fascinated by all the discussions on fusing, soldering copper leads, etc- as I had intended on building a bike pack or a car pack for the kids go-cart. Will probably still do it, but this is a great place to read.
Ta!
