@jdeadman Thanks a lot for the contribution! Got a little sick - so would have replied earlier.

One thing though: The link doesn't seem to work/no videos on the channel.

Did you run into problems concerning your bandwidth?

Many thanks and best,
Chris

Of course it didn't work. it's cuz youtube link is "/edit", which is your own channel. If u didn't upload any, u won't see any Wink

If you want to see his channel, you gotta change the link:

from: https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=fYjS9k9sXfc
to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYjS9k9sXfc

blah, don't worry about it. We all do. Just look at Pete's videos Tongue And Joe does a lot of "Umms". It's all good! If we were pros at videography, we'd be making money that way!

Hi everyone,

just got the XT150 Plugs :-)

I must say they are pretty nice, and one can combine the single connectors into a double one. I'll post some pics shortly.

So i did a short comparison of the EC5 and the XT150 Plugs.

The EC5 are nice and compact and seem to handle quite some Amps (as daromer mentioned 100 Amps). The space for soldering will exactly fit a 3x2,5 mm2 twisted busbar.

The XT150, due to their larger diameter, are a lot stronger and there is more space for soldering, even if the golden tips have a coned drilling (3.9 mm in depth) and are not hollow inside (such as the EC5). They can handle up to 150 Amps continuous.

The nice thing is (see images) that you can use the XT150 single or you can connect them (they have a dovetail connection).

@jdeadman do you think the short length of the soldered connection can cause any issues?

Very nice. I don't think that is an issue AS LONG as you get a good solder joint with the connector.
