Looking for a good spotwelder for 18650s any good tips and or where to buy?

Im using the 709a. Can be seen and have links here:

I know Peter is using the slightly smaller version and tha that came from Bangoog i think?

Banggood job i'm using - seems to do a great job on the fuse wire & glass fuses so far - doing to good tests now see how the cheap one holds up..

Peter: what fuse do you run it on? Because the one im using trip the fuses easily

I use the YaeTek 788H LED Dual Pulse Spot Welder (purchased on Amazon.com)

So far it has worked well.

the 709 is heck alot more powerfull. I would not go for the 788. The AD version or AD+ is their latest. Dunno if its more powerfiull. Just think it got some more high tech functions like a display

I bought the 709 since that one could do nickel strips meanwhile most people had issues with the 788
