Hi everyone,

I am in the process of building myself one of those "18650 Awesomist Battery Thingy" showed on HBPowerwall's youtube channel (about 1min.27s in the video,
) and he talks about the 18650 Awesomist Battery Thingy.

What I would like to understand is how would I charge using DC power let's say 10 of 18650 Li-ion batteries in series (plus to minus, plus to minus) using "TP4056"?
Do I just connect 10 "TP4056" in series and input 10 * 3.7v = 37v (I think the charging current is more like 3.9v at 37% of the batteries capacity) so do I connect all of the 10 "TP4056" in series and input 39v at 1amp? I would probably use a power supply to regulate the input DC voltage.

Thanks!
Michel

Michael, I wouldn't charge your cells in series. Charging them in parallel is much better and what the TP4056 is intended for.

You can't easily use the TP4056 to charge multiple cells in series, as it's a non isolated supply.
What this means is the input ground (and positive rail) is connected straight through.
End result, you short all the cells together, and smoke comes out.
